Privacy Policy

1. General Information

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website or use our mining pool service, the forum, teams and the team league. Personal data is any data with which you could be personally identified.

The website operator is responsible for the data processing on this website. You can find the contact details in the Legal Notice (Imprint).

2. Mining Specific Data Collection

To provide the "Mining Pool" service, we must process specific technical data:

  • Wallet addresses: We store your Bitcoin (or other coin) wallet address to attribute your mining shares and process payouts. While this address is publicly visible on the blockchain, we store it in our database to link it to your worker statistics.
  • Miner IP addresses: To prevent DDoS attacks and ensure pool stability, we temporarily log the IP address of your mining device (worker).
  • Worker names: The names you assign to your miners (e.g. "Bitaxe-01") are stored to display them in your dashboard.

3. Data Collection on our Website

Cookies

Our internet pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your terminal device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). We use them to keep you logged in, to protect forms against forgery (security token) and to remember settings such as the dark mode. If you tick "Remember me" when logging in, a random login token is stored in a cookie for 30 days and in our database so that you stay logged in; you can delete it at any time by logging out.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser transmits to us: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address.

4. SSL/TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by "https://" in the address line and the lock symbol of your browser.

5. User Account and E-mail Confirmation

When you register we store your user name, e-mail address, a password hash (never the password itself), the wallet address you entered, the registration date and your role. The legal basis is the performance of the user agreement (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR).

Every new account has to confirm its e-mail address. For this we send you an e-mail with a confirmation link and store, for your account, the confirmed address, the time of sending and a hash of the confirmation token (the link is valid for 24 hours). The e-mail is sent through our e-mail provider (Titan Email); we use your address only for messages about your account. If you change your e-mail address, it has to be confirmed again.

Besides the confirmation we send e-mails only when something concerns you directly: a request to join your team, the decision on your own request, a member-limit decision for your team, and replies in forum threads you follow (you can switch this off per thread with "Stop e-mails"). These messages are sent in English, German and Turkish together.

You can add several mining addresses to your account. To use an address in a team you prove that it is yours: you connect a miner for a short time with a temporary worker name (address.claim-code). Nothing else is needed (no keys, no signatures); the pool sees that worker as usual (see section 2).

6. Forum

The forum can be read by everyone. What you write there is stored together with your user name and the time, and is visible to all visitors on public boards. Boards of a team that are set to "members only" are visible only to the members of that team (and to the site administrators). Please do not post personal data of other people, and never post addresses, seed phrases or private keys.

  • Posts and threads: text, chosen language, time and your user name. New accounts' first posts are held until a moderator approves them.
  • Reports and moderation: if someone reports a post, the report (reason, reporter, post) is stored and shown to the responsible moderators. Moderator actions (for example removing or approving a post) are logged. A removed post is hidden from the public but may be kept internally for a limited time to handle complaints and to document abuse. Restrictions (mutes, bans) are stored with the reason and duration.
  • Abuse protection: to fight spam we store a salted hash of the IP address with each post. The hash cannot be reversed into the address, and it is deleted automatically after 30 days. Posting frequency is limited per account.
  • Following threads: if you tick "E-mail me about new replies", we store which thread you follow so that we can send the notification; you can stop it at any time.
  • Who sees what: moderators of a team forum are its team leader and the helpers the leader appoints; the main forum is moderated by the site team.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a safe and well-kept community and in defending against abuse (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR) and, for your own contributions, the user agreement (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR).

7. Teams and Team League

A team is a group of members who mine together. The pool still pays every member to their own address; the team does not hold money. When you join a team, the following is processed:

  • Membership: team, role (leader, helper, member), join and leave dates. If you founded or joined a team, your verified mining addresses are attached to the team for as long as you are a member (the history of when an address belonged to which team is kept so that earlier blocks are attributed correctly).
  • Statistics: hashrate of the team and of each member, workers online, each member's share and the rewards credited by the pool. For every block there is a ledger row that shows what the team received and how many other miners were paid.
  • Invitations and requests: invitation links (stored only as a hash, with expiry), join requests with an optional message, and requests to raise the member limit. A short activity log of team actions (for example joined, left, removed, invitation created) is kept for the team leader.

What is public

Visitors see the team name and description, the name of the team leader, the number of members, the combined hashrate and the league position, and the team name with gold badges in the league. Member names, individual shares, rewards and the block ledger are visible only to team members (and to the site administrators).

In the team league only aggregated team figures are used. The legal basis is the user agreement (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). You can leave a team at any time; your addresses are then detached from it.

8. Third-party Services

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects registration, login and the support form against bots. It transmits technical data (for example IP address and browser information) to Google.
  • E-mail delivery: confirmation e-mails are sent through Titan Email; the provider processes your e-mail address for this purpose.
  • Advertising and cookies: parts of the site may show advertising of third parties (for example Google). You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the cookie banner.
  • Content delivery networks (for example jsDelivr and cdnjs) deliver scripts and style sheets; when your browser loads them, the provider receives your IP address.

9. Storage Periods

  • Account data: until you delete your account (dashboard, "Delete my account") or ask us to delete it.
  • Forum posts: for as long as the thread exists. If an account is deleted its posts stay but are shown as "[deleted]" without the name, and IP hashes are wiped.
  • IP hashes in the forum: 30 days. E-mail confirmation tokens: 24 hours. Invitation links: until they expire, are used up or are revoked.
  • Team and league data: while the team exists; the address history is kept as long as needed to attribute blocks correctly.
  • Mining data and server log files: only as long as needed for operation, security and the pool statistics.

Legal obligations to keep data remain unaffected.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to information about your stored data, to correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also withdraw a given consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard ("Delete my account"); for everything else write to us (contact details in the Imprint). You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

11. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the service changes, for example when new features are added. The current version is always the one on this page.
